This small Mills County town with a population of 101 (as of 2023) is 9 minutes South and West of Glenwood with easy access to I-29 and Hwy 34.
The Rusty Rail offers the community a sandwich menu as well as a pool table and darts. Soggy Bottom Bar is also in this community to offer patrons a local social spot.

Mile Hill Lake has access from Highway 34. It is located North of Pacific Junction and West of Glenwood. The 39-acre park consists of a hardwood forest, which is open to public hunting, and a 10-acre fishing lake with boat dock and ramp. The lake is considered a βNo Wake Zoneβ and is closed to swimming.
Pony Creek Park also has a Pacific Junction address located 2 miles North of Hwy 34 on Deacon Road, along the Pony Creek Loop of the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway. At Pony Creek Park you will find Pony Creek Nature Center, which is open year round to visitors. Two modern cabins are available year round rentals. This 83 acre park offers 4 recently renovated (50 and 30 amp) electrical campsites with gravel pads measuring 40 feet long by 30 feet wide. Two miles of hiking trails, a playground, and open spaces allow for activities such as camping, bird watching, nature study, and photography. Pony Creek Lake is in close proximity to the park and provides access for fishing, kayaking and no wake boats.
West Oak Forest is 2 miles North of Highway 34 on L31. This 308 acre park found in the bluffs of the Loess Hills offers some of the best hiking in Mills County. Well over 3 miles of trails will lead you up and down elevations that are not easy to find in other parts of our state. Diverse habitats offer great wildlife viewing, native prairie and woodlands full of unique species and top notch bird watching opportunities.
