To celebrate ISU Extension & Outreach Week, Mills County Extension is hosting an Open House at the Lakin Community Center (which is connected to their office) on Tuesday, April 7th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. There will be refreshments, as well as booths highlighting all that ISU Extension & Outreach, Mills County 4-H, and the Mills County Master Gardeners can offer you. Plus, a photo-op with Cy!
Kevin Pitzen, County Director, and Summit Nielsen, Marketing & Program Assistant, will be available to discuss future partnership and programming opportunities, as well as discussing the many upcoming events they are proud to promote, including the Master Conservationist Program and ServSafe® programs.
Buddi Thompson, County Youth Coordinator, will be available to answer any questions about Mills County 4-H or Youth Programming in Mills County. Buddi and Summit will also be promoting their upcoming Summer Camps, and if you attend the Open House, you will even get first access to the Summer Camp Registration!
The Mills County Master Gardener’s will also be available to provide their expertise to get you started on your spring gardening projects. They will also be introducing our newest staff member, Sydney Jansen, our Horticulture Assistant/Master Gardener Coordinator.
